Power and performance
There are several types of hedge trimmers available in our showroom. Read on to decide which is best for you:
Petrol Hedge Trimmers
Petrol hedge trimmers provide more power than their electric counterparts, but they are heavier, noisier, and require a little more effort to start up. Petrol trimmers are usually 2-stroke machines, capable of coping with larger branches.
Electric Hedge Trimmers
Electric trimmers are easy to use and better for the environment than petrol variants, but they come with the downside of being powered from the mains supply via cable. Make sure you invest in a trimmer with a long enough cable for your needs. We also recommend getting a circuit breaker for additional safety.
Cordless Hedge Trimmers
Cordless hedge trimmers provide the freedom of a petrol hedge trimmer without the hassle of fuel mixtures or long and strenuous start-ups. They are quiet and extremely lightweight, making them easy to manoeuvre with the least disturbance. Battery life does limit your power supply, but the advantages may outweigh this.
Long Reach Hedge Trimmers
For all those difficult and hard to reach areas, long reach hedge trimmers remove the need for a step ladder, making your garden equipment handling much safer. Some of our models come with telescopic poles, to ensure your trimmer meets your exact requirements.
Hedge Trimmer Safety
As with all garden machinery, misuse can result in serious injuries. Always read and follow the safety instructions before using any equipment, and make sure you’re wearing the correct personal protection gear. Even when the machine is idle or the engine isn’t on, accidents can still occur. Don’t leave hedge trimmers unattended when using.
