Description
The Mountfield 1530H lawn tractor has a Stiga 452 cc engine with an 84 cm width of cut. The tractor mower has a Stiga series engine that has a net power output of 7.4 kW @ 2400 rpm.
The lawn tractor has a hydrostatic transmission which can best be described as the automatic version. The blade engagement is electromagnetic and controlled from the dash board. There are 7 heights of cut ranging between 25 mm and 80 mm.
The large grass box will hold up to 240 litres. The overall width of the 1530H is 90 cm and the overall length is 234 cm.
The 1530H has a semi-automatic hydrostatic transmission, simply press the front section of the transmission pedal to move forward, the harder you press the faster your speed. To reverse press the back of the pedal. Changing between moving forwards and backwards is seamless, ideal when you have obstacles or tight corners to negotiate.
This tractor has a comfortable high back seat which is adjustable to suit the driver. The seat also features a safety switch which cuts out the engine if the driver gets off the machine when the blades are turning.
To engage the cutting blades, simply pull out the switch on the dashboard; the electric clutch does the rest. Turning off the blades is equally easy, simply push in the switch to engage a brake which stops the blades within 3 seconds.
Fitted with a 452cc Mountfield Series 7750 OHV four stroke engine, this 1530H tractor may be small but it has power to spare.

Lawn Tractors – Best Practice
1. Always use a fuel additive
Why?
Fuel properties, which make up what we know as petrol, can begin to deteriorate in as little as 30 days after the refining process. The use of a fuel stabiliser is imperative to a fuel system that does not get used on a daily basis. Issues that are presented because of fuel degradation, are issue that are not covered under the warranty guidelines for the engine.
Step 1: Add fuel treatment according to instructions
Step 2: Run engine for 2 minutes to circulate stabiliser through the fuel system
Step 3: Store lawn mower or equipment in clean, dry place for up to 24 months
2. The battery must be trickle charged for 48 – 72 hours at the start of EVERY season and ideally every 3 months. A battery has a 12 month warranty.
3. When you feel that your lawnmower has performed for a minimum of fifty hours it is a good idea to drain and replace the engine oil. Always remember to check your manual and refer to the specific oil recommendations.
