Description

The Stihl MS661 C-M chainsaw with a 30″ bar and chain (which is the rollomatic ES light bar) is a professional chainsaw designed for the professional user. It is also the new competition saw for the Stihl Timbersports series.

The Stihl MS661 C-M has a 91.1 cc engine that produces 5.4 kW / 7.3 hp and weights only 7.4 kg without the bar and chain. The chainsaw features the environmentally friendly Stihl 2-MIX engine. The Stihl 2-stroke engine with 2-MIX provides plenty of torque and yet save around 20% on fuel compared to standard Stihl 2-stroke engines. It complies with all current EU emissions regulations.

The MS661 C-M also features Stihl M-Tronic which is a fully electronic engine management system that regulates the ignition timing and fuel metering in all conditions. It takes in to account the temperature, altitude and fuel quality and as a result provides consistency in engine performance. There is no manual adjustment of the carburettor needed. Thanks to the cold/warm start recognition, the combi-lever now only has one start position.

Other features include a decompression valve for easier starting, Stihl ElastoStart to help ensure jerk-free starting without load peaks, a long life air filter system and the Stihl HD2 filter.

On the 28 inch bar version of this model it comes with the light weight guide bar and a 3/8″ RS professional chain. The chain has low kickback, low vibration, low chatter and a smooth cutting behavior.

What else will I need to buy with my chainsaw?

  • 2-Stroke Oil.
Stihl Moto mixWe advise STIHL MotoMix® which is Stihl’s patented premixed fuel, specially blended for ultimate performance. Like a sports drink for your engine, this 50:1 mixture is a combination of premium non-ethanol, high-octane motor fuel and our highest-quality STIHL HP Ultra oil. Clean and convenient, MotoMix® eliminates the hassle of mixing your own 2-stroke engine fuel while providing superior performance and lubrication. STIHL MotoMix® contains no ethanol, allowing it to maintain stability for up to two years after the seal is broken – so it stays fresh in your equipment during long storage periods. MotoMix® is also made of non-aromatic fuel and fully synthetic, highly biodegradable engine oil.
